Borrowing Information

A valid Student ID card is needed to borrow from the Library.

3 week loan with renewals, provided that another borrower has not requested this item.
2 renewals (if no other requests).
1 week loan for periodicals.
1 day loan for slides and carousels, students.
1 week loan for slides and carousels, faculty.
2 hour loan for Closed Reserve material, no renewal.
No loans for reference material.
Instructors may request materials for a "semester loan", but materials are subject to recall if requested by another borrower.
Instructors are encouraged to preview videos in-house, but may borrow overnight to preview at home. Videos must be returned the following morning at 8:30 am to avoid a late charge.

These are borrowers in good standing from our neighbouring institutions, the University of Calgary and Mount Royal College.
Borrowing limit - 5 items at a time.

General public, from the Calgary community, and ACAD Alumni

$25.00/year - Members of the general public.
These borrowers must present valid ID with current address information.

Patrons who have an Alberta Library (TAL) card. This card is issued by the home library of the patron.
These borrowers must present valid ID with current address information.
Borrow up to 5 items at a time.
