Adult credit courses offered through Extended Studies make it possible for you to earn credits in several ways before you apply for admission to the College, or to increase your flexibility as an active ACAD student. Adult credit courses are open to adults who are not yet admitted to a program at the College as well as to ACAD degree students. These credit courses, offered through the Extended Studies department, are taught by ACAD faculty and they follow the same curricula as regular courses. You will be expected to abide by the same expectations and deliver to the same standards as degree students. These courses are rigorous and demand several hours of homework every week.
If you have not yet been accepted into an ACAD program as a degree student, you must receive a portfolio review, or submit a previously earned degree or diploma, or attend a meeting with the program head prior to registering in your first studio credit course through Extended Studies.
Your academic credits from the course will appear on your ACAD transcript and will be applied to your program should you be admitted as a regular student at ACAD in the future.
