Overview

The student run Marion Nicoll Gallery creates a unique context for education and experimentation among artist attending Alberta College of Art and Design. The MNG provides a link between educational and professional environments, fostering critical dialogue and public exhibition in three different settings both on and off campus. Modeled after a public not-for profit gallery, it provides students with career developing experience as administrators, jurors and submitting artists.

Main Space

Located in the Main Mall at ACAD the Marion Nicoll Main Space is a student run, public not-for profit gallery, providing an excellent setting for large scale installations, group shows and individual bodies of work. The Main Space showcases student work to public and peers, providing emerging artists with valuable experience presenting work in a professional setting.

+ 15

The + 15 Window is located in the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts. The space features three large windows sized for small-scale installations or a developing body of work. The location gives student artists access to a broader viewing public, and presents the opportunity to show alongside other Calgary Artist Run Centres: Truck, Stride, The New Gallery and the Untitled Art Society.

LRT

The LRT Window is located in the ACAD/ Jubilee hallway. Similar in size to the +15, this space is available to students for a longer period of time than the Main Space, and is another opportunity to further engage the public.
