Overview + Purpose
To assist the SRC in the development of and implementation of workshops within the Student Success Series.
Workshop Facilitators will be responsible to create and to deliver workshops that are relevant to student life, academics, or a student's artistic practice. Workshop Facilitators will also assist with the promotion and assessment of workshops.
Duties
- Develop new session ideas
- Develop + facilitate workshops
- Compile assessments on existing workshops
- Assist the SRC in facilitating the workshop or managing the crowd volumes
- Workshop set-up and tear down
- Administer and report on session evaluations
Qualifications/Skills
- Must be a Current ACAD student
- Enjoy collaborating with people
- Ability to speak in front of a large crowd
- Independent Worker
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word + PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Indesign is considered an assist
Working Conditions/ Training
- Hours of work may be scheduled to reflect casual nature of this position but will average about 2-3 hours per week
- Facilitators will be required to attend a mandatory training on presentation skills
- Facilitators will be required to meet with SRC staff periodically, both individually and as a group, to review session feedback and troubleshoot as needed.
