Visiting Artist Talk | Alison Norlen
October 7, 2009
Room 595 | 3:30 PM
Winnipeg-based artist Alison Norlen is well known for her series of large scale drawings and sculptural installations concerned with the machinations of history, environments for play, social utopias that act as systems for consumption. These sites are also testimonies to both a history and a future of hype, hysteria, hope and hardship.
Norlen received her M.F.A. from Yale University in 1989 and currently teaches in the Faculty of Art and Art History at the University of Saskatchewan.
Hosted by Gord Ferguson as part of Sculpture 310.
