The Alberta College of Art + Design Students' Association Spring Show and Sale is March 25th-27th, 2010.
This spring, all of Calgary is invited to one of ACAD’s most popular events of the year: the Spring Show and Sale! Come out to ACAD, and take advantage of the opportunity to purchase artwork by over 1000 student artists and designers, on sale in the College's Main Mall from March 25 to 27. Hundreds of pieces from all departments of ACAD, including glass work, painting, jewelry, printmaking, sculpture and more will be up for sale. Doors are open at 3:00 on Thursday afternoon, and ACAD is expecting this year to be one of our busiest yet. The work available includes design, photography, painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, fibre, jewellery, glass work, media arts and digital technology. All art is one of a kind. We open at 3:00pm on Thursday March 25th and the event runs for the next two days, with new work constantly being added.
All of the work for sale is by ACAD's very talented students, and money raised goes directly back to student artists to support them through their academic career. The spring Show and Sale is one of the most exciting and anticipated events of the year at ACAD, don't miss this opportunity to come out and support the work of emerging artists while acquiring great art at great prices.
